* TNKR co-founder Eunkoo Lee and I presented before a government agency.
* We met some doctors who wanted to meet us because of our work with North Korean refugees.
* A North Korean refugee I had never met came running to me when she recognized me.
Presenting before this government agency, I had very low expectations. At that point, we were not even an official organization, so we weren't expecting financial support. We were delighted to be invited to inform them about our activities.
A TNKR student who wants TNKR to become a rich organization arranged the meeting for us.

We then joined a meeting at a medical school. Some of the doctors had done some work with North Korean refugees, so it was a chance to introduce TNKR to some of them.

This young lady saw me, then almost seemed to sprint to me. She greeted me like we were old friends. She said she was a North Korean refugee and that she was so honored to meet me. She had been seeing SNS updates about me, heard about me from her friends, she couldn't believe that she was actually meeting me.
For a brief moment, I felt like a non-profit organization star, which, is not like being a star at all.
She later joined TNKR as a student, has studied abroad, and remains in contact with us.
