On Sunday I spent almost the entire day at a recording for a documentary. I had a great time, meeting current friends as well as making some new ones.
Each interviewee had a different incredible story. So many people (especially reporters) talk about the "refugee narrative," as they see the surface of each story (as reporters often do), but fail to understand the deeper differences.
They also interviewed one male refugee with an incredible story, but at that time he wasn't ready to show his face and still hasn't done so. Several years ago he gave a speech at an event we organized that shocked many of the attendees, but he has his reasons for not being public.
