I had some high school girls drop by the office to talk to me about various topics. At first, they were so shy, but clearly eager to talk.
After they warmed up, they were shooting questions at me, it was all fun and lovely. Of course, they are now burning up my Kakao with messages and photos.
I introduced them to Prof. 김 정호. Not only is he an all-around cool guy, but he is also a distinguished professor at the Yonsei University Graduate School of Economics. So of course they were delighted to meet him.

In my Korea Times column last week, I wrote about cultural appropriation. For those who are worried about young Koreans embracing hip-hop culture, I must say that you've lost the battle. Two of these girls write and produce their own hip-hop music and another sings it. They were flashing hip-hop hand signals and probably gangsta rapper hand signals.
Do people who complain about cultural appropriation make the little heart sign?
